FAQ Blow-in shuttle

Blow-in shuttle

When should the shuttle with white windows be used?

The white shuttles can be used to expel water (condensation or meteoric water) or to calibrate the pipes.

When should the shuttle with black windows be used?

The black shuttles can be used as a standard process for conventional cable protection conduits or flexible conduits and also for slightly deformed, dirty or dusty conduits.

What should I do if a blow-in shuttle cannot be used due to a kinked or blocked pipe?

If it is not possible to use a shuttle, the pull cord can be blown in using the blow-in parachute.

What is a high-pressure shuttle and what is it used for?

The high-pressure shuttle is a specially developed blow-in piston for the powerful blowing-in of ropes or cords with a compressor.
Retractable - precise fit - very low frictional resistance - easy to maintain

For which pipe dimensions are high-pressure shuttles available?

Our standard range includes high-pressure shuttles for pipes with an internal diameter of 60 to 200 mm and from 2½ to 8 inches.
On request, we also offer custom-made shuttles for other dimensions.

What are the main features of the innovative design of the blow-in shuttles?

The design of our shuttles not only offers a low friction surface, but also reduces the required air volume and can be easily retracted.

For which pipe diameters are the low-pressure shuttles available?

The low-pressure shuttles are available for pipes with an internal diameter of 20 to 200 mm, and from ½" to 8" inches.

What are the advantages of using the blowing shuttles?

Our blowing shuttles offer numerous advantages:

  • Blowing in cable pull cords and steel ropes
  • Safe application
  • Cleaning pipes
  • Ejecting water
  • Calibrating pipes
  • Low friction surface
  • Reduced air consumption
  • Effortless retraction
  • Easy maintenance
Why are the blow-in shuttles a time-saving solution?

The shuttles are versatile and ideal for transporting the cable pull cords and ropes during the blowing-in process, but also for cleaning, water ejection and calibration of the pipes in a single operation.
