Four operations in one step – that’s how it works!
A blow-in shuttle is an essential tool in cable laying technology that has been specially developed for blowing cable pulling cord or steel ropes / wires into pipes.
The blow-in shuttle is typically used with a pull line blower or compressor and utilises the generated airflow to move forward through the pipe and transports the cord.
However, the versatile functions of the shuttle go far beyond this purpose.
Four operations can be carried out simultaneously in a single work step:
- Pulling a cord / steel rope / wire into an empty conduit.
- Cleaning and removal of foreign bodies from the pipe.
- Blow out any water that may be in the pipeline.
- Complete calibration through the successful pull line blowing process.
Another significant advantage of our blow-in shuttles is that they can be easily pulled back if they get stuck thanks to their sealing lip arrangement.
The sealing lips of the shuttle are arranged at a 90° angle to the pipe wall and can swing forwards as well as backwards.
In contrast to the conventional arrow-shaped pistons / line carriers, which act like barbs when pulled out and make it impossible to pull back.
Due to the design of all our shuttles, the friction surface is reduced to a minimum. As a result, the power of the compressor/Pull Line Blower is fully concentrated on blowing in/pulling the cord and no energy is wasted on overcoming the friction. Thus, less powerful compressors can also be used – besides this, the risk of accidents is considerably reduced at lower operating pressures.
Our high- and low-pressure shuttles are sustainably designed and can be repaired by the customer. All spare parts are available in our shop. In this way, we ensure that you can enjoy this tool for a long time and it is always ready for use.
Our range includes high-quality blow-in shuttles, which are perfect for laying of cable pull cords and ropes / wires in pipes with an inner pipe diameter from 20 up to 300 mm / ¾” to 12″.
Convince yourself of the quality and practical design of our shuttles.

FAQ Blow-in shuttle
The white shuttles can be used to expel water (condensation or meteoric water) or to calibrate the pipes.
The black shuttles can be used as a standard process for conventional cable protection conduits or flexible conduits and also for slightly deformed, dirty or dusty conduits.
If it is not possible to use a shuttle, the pull cord can be blown in using the blow-in parachute.
The high-pressure shuttle is a specially developed blow-in piston for the powerful blowing-in of ropes or cords with a compressor.
Retractable – precise fit – very low frictional resistance – easy to maintain
Our standard range includes high-pressure shuttles for pipes with an internal diameter of 60 to 200 mm and from 2½ to 8 inches.
On request, we also offer custom-made shuttles for other dimensions.
The design of our shuttles not only offers a low friction surface, but also reduces the required air volume and can be easily retracted.
The low-pressure shuttles are available for pipes with an internal diameter of 20 to 200 mm, and from ½” to 8″ inches.
Our blowing shuttles offer numerous advantages:
- Blowing in cable pull cords and steel ropes
- Safe application
- Cleaning pipes
- Ejecting water
- Calibrating pipes
- Low friction surface
- Reduced air consumption
- Effortless retraction
- Easy maintenance
The shuttles are versatile and ideal for transporting the cable pull cords and ropes during the blowing-in process, but also for cleaning, water ejection and calibration of the pipes in a single operation.
